Husband and wife team, Chris and Karen Highland, make up the core of The Highland Group. They have been serving the real estate needs of families in Montgomery, Frederick & Washington Counties since 1993 , helping them to create the lifestyles they desire, and to realize their real estate goals.

Chris has experience in management, having managed a Real Estate office of 95 agents.  That, as well as his 18 years of real estate experience serve as a great resource to clients and agents as they maneuver the complex issues surrounding any real estate transaction.  Chris has a CDPE certification.  Certified Distressed Property Expert.  He has experience with Short Sale and REO properties. 

He presently serves as residential manager and mentor to new agents at Turning Point Real Estate in Urbana.

Karen brings her own unique benefits to buyers and sellers from the field of education. Having been a teacher for over 10 years, Karen makes great efforts to make sure clients have the knowledge about the market, and the understanding they need to make the best possible decisions in the real estate transaction. "Being a teacher at heart, I am always working to keep myself educated as well, about the market and about the business of real estate."
